I have a whole body of work that looks at regency + period dramas through the lens of race and whiteness. And I even publised a journal article in 2021 on this in the context of Jane Austen. This is a gross generalisation.

How dare you. This is a very anti-Black statement as well. I write and speak on this with some frequency, even at universities - including in sociology, English literature, media and film + TV studies.
Before you make such racist statements, I would recommend you research the people you make these statements about. There are many Black fans of these texts, and to say there aren't, simply shows your ignorance and that you do not move through these spaces.
